that you’re reading this now.  Many people are getting tired of the routines of their every day lives.  They’re starting to wonder if there’s something more to this life.  Some people are even questioning who they are, if there is more to them than their body, their name, their job and so on.  In an ancient text it says, “Knock and the door shall be opened, ask and you shall receive…”  If a person really wants to experience and find out if there is something more to their lives and themselves, they just have to be ready to explore the answers and the paths that may be presented to them.

We are a nonprofit school that is dedicated to teaching people ancient philosophies, practices, and techniques that will lead to freedom, inner peace, and a deeper, more complete understanding of life.  Our classes are always conducted in a relaxed, open discussion style.  Both sharing and inquiry are encouraged, because though there are teacher and student roles, we are really here to learn together.  The following is a brief description of what we offer here.  If anything here catches your attention, recognize it as a higher part of yourself, telling you that here, you just might find what you’ve been looking for.  We look forward to having you in one of our classes.
We have put the topics we usually talk about into categories.  Although they look like separate subjects, they are all related.  Like pieces of the same puzzle, they are different parts that make up one teaching.  That is why practice in any category increases one’s chances of results in all the other categories.

Meditation

Many people confuse breathing and relaxation exercises with meditation. Actually, those are just the first steps to meditation. A proper meditation will always teach you something or give you an answer to a question. Each of the following steps are needed for a complete meditation.

  • Breathing: Breathing keeps us alive, yet most of us only use a small part of our lung capacity. By learning how to breathe fully we can increase our energy and our life spans!
  • Relaxation: Sitting and watching TV is not really relaxing. Even sleep does not allow the body to release all tensions. By consciously relaxing the mind and body, we can reach a state of relaxation that releases us from all of our stress.
  • Silencing the mind: It is only in silence that we can receive inner guidance and connect with our true selves.
  • Concentration: At this point, we put all of our attention on something we want to know or on a question we may have.

Dream Yoga

Until now we thought the third dimension was all there was.  We thought we only had one body, too.  But really, there is also a 4th dimension and we have a second body (astral body) that we can use in that dimension.  Some masters say that before we can become Awake in this world, we must first become awake with the dream world.  The following techniques will take you places and give you experiences you can’t even imagine now.

  • Remembering dreams: With practice anyone can train themselves to remember their dreams.  Our dreams offer us valuable information and messages.  We just have to learn the universal language of dreams and the meanings of the symbols we see.  Everyone can benefit from studying their dreams.

  • Becoming aware during the dream: If done during the day, simple techniques can help us realize when we are dreaming.

  • Astral Projection:  When we have mastered relaxation, concentration, and our chakras our working well, it is easy to practice this technique.  Then we can enjoy exploring the 4th dimension!

Working with the Ego

So much of who we think and feel we are is not really us at all…it is our ego.  That is also where all of our suffering comes from.  The following practices allow us to see the difference between our egos and our true selves. Mastering them will make us free.

  • Self Observation: Beyond our thoughts and feelings is the observer, or our consciousness.  When we can connect with that part of ourselves in our everyday lives, our happiness will increase automatically.
  • Self Remembering: We waste our energy with anger, resentment, worry, bad habits and so many other unnecessary things.  By teaching us how to remember who we really are, we learn how save our precious energy.  It is only with that energy that we can reach our potential.
  • Destruction of the ego:  It is impossible to get rid of something if you don't know it is there.  By recognizing the pain caused by our egos, we can begin to study how they work.  Through this work we can gradually weaken their power over us until they are no longer a part of us.

Chakra Development

Chakras are energy centers in our bodies that affect every part of our lives from our health and bodies to our experiences, thoughts and emotions.  We each have 7 main Chakras that are located along the spine.  Each one relates to specific organs or glands in the body.  The first 5 also relate to the elements, earth, water, fire, air, and ether.  When the chakras are working and open, we experience wonderful sensations and abilities.  When they are closed, health problems and negative experiences result.

  • Mantra:  Sacred sounds that vibrate to create specific effects in the chakras and corresponding body parts.
  • Visualization:  We can use our imaginations to open and increase the energy flow through our chakras.

Awakening the Kundalini

Everyone has this powerful life giving energy in them, it is just dormant, like the bear that hibernates in winter.  Waking up this energy allows it to rise up through the chakras, automatically increasing your happiness and potential.
